Studies on new epigenetic therapeutic approaches to rheumatoid arthritis

In this project, we wish to research new epigenetic therapeutic strategies, in order to stop the irreversible destruction of joints in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Patients suffer great pain and the continuous functional loss of the affected joints, e.g. in their hands. In our investigations, we focus on promising new epigenetic regulation mechanisms.
